This is the house. I have the downstairs and my landlords live in the upstairs. There are chicken coops behind the house.
The beautiful view out of my front door. The little box with the flag is the 'egg fridge' where my landlords sell their chicken eggs. It's completely on the honor system, people can just drive up and leave money in the fridge. The body of water is a man-made reservoir. Sometimes, on very clear days, you can see the Sangre De Cristo mountains in the very back (behind the mountains you can see here).
These girls greet me when I come home. On the left is Ikka and on the right is Moriah, two very sweet doggies.
This is what I see when I walk into the apartment. The big box under the table is for recycling, since the recycling center is all the way into Woodland Park I only take it in about once a month (or less...) The room with the curtain on the right is my bedroom, and the door to the bathroom is on the left in the hallway, just before the curtain.
The kitchen is small, but I make it work. Most of the time I do all my cooking prep on the table because it has more space. These pictures were taken on a pretty clean day for my apartment. Most of the time there is some sort of pile on the table that has to be pushed aside when I want to eat or cook.
This is the living room, to the left of the kitchen. The door goes to the spare bedroom.
Every apartment should have a good ranger-hat-storage-location. That plant used to belong to someone at work who was going to throw it out... I couldn't stand letting a perfectly good plant get thrown in the dumpster so I brought it home with me. I have no idea how I am going to get it to Oregon, but I'll figure something out.
This is my bedroom. I miss all of the windows that I had in my room last summer, but it has been nice to at least have the option of sleeping past sunrise this summer!
